New corn dog truck in our little valley. This was the best corn dog I’ve ever had. Fresh fried of course, but the dough was a perfectly crispy on the outside and buttery and not doughy or chewy. Had a regular dog, a mozzarella cheese dog and a fried Oreo cookie. Also with their fresh fried chips. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Making tortellini. From Costco pre-made and jar of sauce. Not the greatest, but don't feel like driving to get something out.
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to The Princess over the weekend. It's quiet around the house without my assistant chef and # 1 taste tester. Image Unavailable, Please Login Here she is during happier times, enjoying a steak bone. So, we've not done much cooking lately. Mostly reheating leftovers. Did make pork chops - they're me like pork rib eyes - on the gasser a few days ago. Topped with harissa. Tasty, but I really need to find a spicier harissa. I made mine into a paste by adding Tabasco original. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
So sorry to hear this Tom. My pups are both older and I know the day is nearer than I want to admit. I'll give Coco and Leon an extra long hug tonight. They bring so much love and joy into our lives.
Tom, We are so sorry to hear that sad news, RIP to your pup. (As I see you already are doing in your post - I always remind to remember the good times and not focus on the end with our four legged family.) We know she had a great life and certainly ate well! Will raise a glass to her tonight and we send our thoughts your way. Dave and Ania
Woke up at 5:30 with nausea, profuse sweating and unrelenting pain. Wound up going back to bed and passed a kidney stone 8 hours later. Needed some comfort food. In Texas that means……… Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Oh, I've been trying variations on the onion smash burger too. Made some one night last week with lots of sweet onion and thinly sliced jalapeno. That was tasty. Bought some new habanero pepper jack cheese at Costco the other day so want to try that out on a burger.
It's often said that instagramming your food is rather un-needed and over-done.. but in this case... wow that looks good! It's the simple things you make yourself that are alway the best...
wow, sorry to hear that. (at least it passed *somewhat* quickly). Hope the comfort food did the trick!
Looks egg-cellent! ha, yeah, we get farm eggs from chickens that free range and get deep yellow to orangey yolks too. Ania like to make italian cheesecake and I recall one she made last year that was so orange from the eggs we got there. (sadly lately the eggs we are getting are not all that deep colored for whatever reason though) Your pic of the yummy lemon pie reminded me to post a pic of last night's Italian cheesecake (ricotta, mascarpone with zero sugar and zero fake sugar). A friend brought cool whip instead of heavy cream for us to whip, and thus I had my first taste of cool whip since before Stewie taught us all how to pronounce it! (that is one weird tasting product and likely offset the sugar-savings in the pie). Image Unavailable, Please Login
I buy free range eggs from a farmer. Its cash only. I hate CDN money. The one and two dollar coins are the worse. The bills are made out of some plastic material. I'm sort of on a diet. Used to buy candy at the gas station with the change. The other day I bought scratch lotto ticket and won $40, doubling my cash! The cash is in the center console of my truck for the next egg visit. Left over beef tacos............. More yummy because the beef marinated in the spices overnight in the fridge.
Was at the store and even though it wasn’t on my list, curiosity got the better of me and I looked at the artisan spaghetti just to see where it was made and lo and behold Verona- where we’re from. When I ate risotto I also used Vialone nano rice from Verona. Anyway scampi with linguini Veronesi and a salad. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

What kind of Tuna is that? Kinda looks like a Bluefin, since no golden nuggets on the body. Not sure what Tuna species are prevalent in NZ?
