    Jealous!

White Castle is an acquired taste. If you don't acquire it as a youngster, it's not likely you'll acquire it when you get older! [emoji2]

That’s some Grade A authentic dim sum. Those pan seared scallion and pork dumplings are some of my favorites. My Mom made the best scratch spring rolls so we never dared order when out LOL. If you didn’t, try a dash of Worcestershire and light soy next time. Typically have to ask as most will just give you a side of soy or toss a few dashes on top.

The restaurant name threw me off. I was expecting more SE Asian ala Vietnamese, but your dim sum is definitely more Chinesy. Either way, looks great. Bet it tasted awesome. Jelly.

I think I could live on dim sum.....have you tried the ginger & green onion tripe? If it is done right, meltingly tender mouthfeel and a creamy sauce. I love the har gow, pan fried chive, wifey loves the shumai. I also really like the shrimp stuffed, pan fried eggplant. Trying the receipe today...Sat...will post results!

Chinese eggplant stuffed with shrimp paste. Also, had some asian paratha bread that I made a shrimp stuffed treat with. Both pretty darn good....

That is what my Chinese SIL calls most of our everyday dishes we in North America order. Not really Chinese.

Banged out a prime cut boneless prime ribeye. Reverse sear. Added a baker with chives from the yard and sautéed zucchini and yellow crooked neck squash with garlic. 2009 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf-du-Pape chaser. I’m happy :)

No. The small one, while nice and compact is just too small- wood needs to be cut smaller to fit (9-12". Small sweet spot for fire building- need to keep feeding a small(er) fire mass and a lot of attention. Melted several fans, which abutted the opening that were needed to get air circulating to get fire going.

Why I have only done pizzas. After the fourth one pizzas act like a heat sink and you lose some floor heat.

The larger one is easy- can use conventional size firewood. Build one fire mass, light it and leave it. Big oven you can slide around to re-heat previous floor spots as you're cooking more pizzas.

I know I might get the "sigh" responses here, but after Japan's fresh sushi/sashimi, I am having a hard time with our US all frozen by law sushi. Had lunch at a place I always frequent and really noticed the watery texture of it....boo. Maybe I was Japanese in a previous life...

Just in Oklahoma City for work, so I had an onion burger. It was OK. Like most things in the culinary sphere, the taste was improved by hunger and grilled jalapeños.
