Pasta in a tomato cream sauce w pancetta and cherry peppers. Copied it from a local place that charges $40 pp! Ours was better and cost about $4.

Been working through a ton of leftovers lately. But, it's Fall and that means VFD fish fry season in Tejas. This is from Savoy VFD. Very good for their first year. Nice country and back roads to get there. Fries were meh, the rest top notch, including the dessert - not pictured - which was homemade cherry cheesecake!

Forgot to take pics but over at Dad's today to play taxi... and threw a big Ole Chuck pot roast in the crock pot this morning. Added some tiny taters and carrots tiward the end. With a salad was a tasty meal.

Yum. Wedding soup always reminds me of my grandmother. Hers was awesome. She made it with escarole and mini version of her meatballs (pork, veal, beef).

Developed a quick brining protocol a few years back - salt, brown sugar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, apple cider vinegar. Add in whatever you want to pickle. Zap it in the microwave. Shake. Chuck it in the fridge. Fast and tasty. I've done cukes, red onion, jalapeños, serranos, carrots, etc. that way...T

The final Pie from the batch of 3 I made the other day. Perfect fall meal with blanched green beans. Spent all weekend cleaning in preparation for upcoming visit by friends for salmon fishing starting tomorrow. So nice to pop this into the oven and 20 minutes later, voilá.
