Well, the Ferrari speedo said 145 but I bet it was actually more like 130 at Pocono IR. Ferrari speedos start at 10 mph standing still you know....

173 knots at rotation in a 747-400. Works out to about 199 mph ish. 389 backseaters have no idea how much fun your having up front!

    152 - Porsche 928.
    115 - '61 MGA
.885 Mach - Passing a 777 on the way into Narita last fall.

Wow! Thats not bad for an MGA, was it modified? My MGB probably won't get over 110... but it's bone stock. But they're all a blast to drive!
    Happy driving! :)

512TR 300km/h in 5th gear @ 6200rpm still pulling hard, had to let go, ran out of road
    348 spyder 270km/h 5th gear @ 7000rpm
328gts 260km/h 5th gear red line not bad for a 15 year old car

The 512 TR is awesome, I could only imagine the power of a 575.

By the way don't tell my wife. LOL

Close to 170 in my 512TR down the back straight at Pocono Intl. I think the race 512TR probably does 180+ there but it has no speedo, the trees go by VERY Fast in the race car :)

Back in my crazy days I used to take the Countach 5000QV into the Nevada desert between Reno & Carson City on the L-O-N-G straight there I could see 185 mph on the speedo, Maxed out :) Other days when it was windy I could only do 130 mph there

The fastest I've been was in Southern Germany (Munich) in 1997. I was visiting friends in Augsberg and the owner of a basketball team my firend was playing on had a "collection" of Porsche's and Ferrari's. He let me drive his 993 TT. WOW!!! I was with my girlfriend at the time and we just pegged 300k...

My ex-girlfirend looked over and couldnt see the speedo needle and that somewhat scared her.

The best blast I've had so far in a country where you can drive fast legally.

Here in Southern California, my max speed is about 40mph if I'm lucky. I can't seem to get out of rush hour traffic driving from Toluca Lake to Garden Grove for work daily.

I don't know what the hell is on that. Some sort of commie camper. The car is the famous TRABANT. A royal ****box made by the east germans during the cold war. It going 183 was as likely as some of these other posts. I put a link in another thread today so that everyone could see their most realistic top end speed. Actual test data performed mostly on the smoothest, longest test tracks on the planet with new cars prepped and massaged by the factorys. Read the shootouts from the past 20 years. Some new cars even popped their tops being pushed to the limit. Reality might be letdown but some people think they are beating a team of factory engineers on their way to get a loave of bread in a 10 year old car.
Glad you laughed as that was my hope.
    follow the link folks, great site for all marques;
