Got my Hill Engineering 11mm ones delivered today, going on the rear this eve
the Spacers are beautifully machined and fit exactly on the locating pegs, 11mm seems exactly the right balance, so I put some on the front too. The Bolts are very heavy vs the Titanium ones I have and they require a 22mm socket. After driving to work this am I have ordered another set for the SCUD.
I am running 11 mm front and rear on the SCUD and just 11 mm on the rear with the 430 Spider very happy with this set up
Hi, I'm running on my Scud 25mm spacers rear, front is unmodified, the chassis hight is also unmodified. On track there is absolute no negative impact on the driving behavior to detect. Ok, the car is a few grams heavier... ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Richard can you give me the specs/link as to what you ordered for the Scud wheels? I have Scud wheels on my 430 and want 15mm spacers with the appropriate lug nuts. Hill engineering have the lug nuts?
My 430 Spider is fully lowered to the max, it will be ok when I switch to 35 front profile front tires but now I have to be really careful. I switched back to rear spacers only on the Spider as it just seems to look better, I have similar on my Sportec 996 TT, 15 MM on the rear only
Looks like there are 2 options with spacers: Type 1 15 mm spacers come with bolts: http://www.hillengineering.co.uk/catalog/ws015-p-110.html Or Type 2 spacers of which new titanium bolts have to be purchased for 640 pounds!
Thanks Richard, any pics? So how many mm is it lowered? Or what is your ride height set up? So maybe front doesn't need spacers upon lowering due to camber?
I wanted to optimize the look of the car without influencing the driving behavior negatively. Therefore we decided to let the front axle unmodified. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your Scud looks perfect. 25 is the largest spacers I have heard on a 430 or 360 body. I ordered 25s based on my measurement but I see most go for 12 or 15mm. No rubbing or having to roll fenders I take it?
