None exist. Period. Want a Mondial t? Your choices are Starter models 1/43 in either coupe or cabriolet (both red), and the quality sucks. Then there's an unknown company that put out a Mondial t coupe in 1/43, very similar to BBR quality, hard to find (I have a yellow one). Lastly, MR Models is coming out with an 'exclusive' release of a Mondial t coupe and cabriolet in 1/43. Price unknown, but colors are red or silver for the coupe, and red or blue for the cabriolet. There was also one other company that made a metal 1/43 kit of teh Mondial t, can remember (I sent it to www.italianhorses.net to be built). I wish there were larger versions of the Mondial (either 3.2 or t), but they don't exist. The largest model is a 1/24 scale Polistil Mondial 8 coupe, and it's very lackluster. I've thought about commissioning a few 1/12 scale versions, but the minimum number that would need to be ordered is too pricey (would have to order around 5000 units).
I'm still hoping, Steffen will make one. He talked about it. And as far as I'm concerned, I'll take one even if the horsey is painted over. THAT I can fix myself.
Making one requires damn good scratch building skills. Not saying Steffen can't do it, but it isn't easy, especially a cabriolet.
True. But I still take a mediocre one over none (and that's not to say Steffen would only make a mediocre one).
Kyosho are making new models and latelly a few models that were never available in 1/18 have been made avaible such as the 308 GTS and 308 QV. I'm also glad they finally made a 328 cause previously you could only get them from Anson and they weren't good quality. The Modial and the 308GT4 are about the only common road Ferrari's that are still not available in 1:18 so its only a matter of time before one comes out.
When Kyosho makes a 1/18 Mondial or GT/4, I will buy multiples. Right now just have the MR 1/43 Mondial 3.2
Almost true: Add the 365, 400, 400i and 412 to that list. It appears to me, that somebody doesn't like the 2+2 seater models (GT/4, 400, Mondial). But the fact that the 456 and 612 exist gives me some hope. snj5: Is that a purble sig on that card? Nifty!
i have 2 1/24 polistil mondial's (and a real one on the drive) they are not very good quality as standard, 1 blue with racing stickers on, the other is hand painted red...yuk! but with a little time and effort they will be ok for me! bought them both on e-bay from Germany, and cost about £8 each ($14??) but they are the only ones ive seen! steve j
I've seen the Elite Mondials and was hoping someone would have made an effort to convert one into a T .. .anyone try this...the search is endlessly too long. T in a cabriolet would be ideal. rik
Good question and no I've never seen a Mondial T or T Cabriolet model at all. I sure would be a cool looking model in 1/18.
I have a couple, T cabriolets, in Red/Tan, but they are 1:43 = too small. Tempting to take a cast of the elite and make my own, but, by the time I get that done, it wouldn't be in metal and not as detailed...would have to scrounge a 348 engine out of a 1:18 348 etc. etc. wondering if I should just wait...now with the elite being discontinued, don't believe they will make the T either
