    I have stayed the the Palazzo Ruspoli. Located in the centre of Florence it is a great place to stay. No facilities but reflected in price. If price is no issue the place I have stayed at the Excelsior about $500USD a night. Frank

    I stayed at the "Grand Hotel Villa Medici" when I was there last year. Nice enough, and considering the client I doubt it was excessively expensive (I never saw the bill).

    It was right near the center of town, an easy walk to everything.
