Catching just a glimpse of Alberto's yellow Dino in its garage (and wanting to see more), I thought it would be interesting for many of us to see where our Dinos live or are worked on. And so I have started this thread, which I hope you will post pictures in.

To start the thread off. here is my 1972 (actually manufactured in '73) blue 246GT and a cousin boarding together, here in now stormy Manila.

    Andy,

I love your idea and topic and I will participate in due time. I must say though, your house, garage, architecture, landscpe, cars, and photo will be a hard act to follow. Everything in such great modern taste. I have followed your posts in the 'garage pics' thread here and on the Gargage Journal Board website and am always blown away! Wish you were in Southern California so I could invite myself over :).

Andres, soory cannot show Dino in the setting it is in as very messy, bits everywhere. Yours is a beatiful showcase, and I have another grage but no Dinos or Staratos in it. Just the other projects.

    Meanwhile, a bit of architecture...

Andres, great idea for a fun topic. Might be a good way to meet fellow Dino drivers in our own locales. I reside on the East side of Columbus, Ohio. I know of two other Dino owners in the area, but have yet to see them out driving. Such a crime. So, I have had my '74 GTS for the last 24+ years. Originally it was fly yellow. Along the way, a previous owner had it repainted Rosso Dino (I believe). Little by little I have been going over different systems in the car, from drive train to cooling to braking, etc. Eventually, I want to have the interior and exterior redone. The car looks good now, but there are little things that bother me. I drive this car so it will never be a 99 point car. Sorry, I'm trying to figure out how to paste pics using this new IPad. Damn thing is driving me crazy. When I can get one of my kids to show me how to do it I will post a picture.

With a square tailight BMW 2002 with sunroof (1974 or later) in the foreground, and a non-factory paint two-tone 2002 (?) under the lift? I can't tell from the photos, but is either a ti or a tii? My wife and I owned two tii's (1972 and 1974), did driving schools in them, and they were better on any twisty track than either of our two Dinos. Sorry, but that is a simple fact - no fuel starvation in tight turns, and no sudden snap 180s in the middle of a turn, and both were as reliable like, well, a brick can be.

Check out this link to David E. Davis's seminal 1968 article, "Now Turn Your Hymnals to Number 2002," in Car and Driver regarding "de Fluster Bombe" (the "Whispering Bomb" - nota bene - our driving instructors called them "Flying Bricks") - http://kyality.blogspot.com/2006/12/now-turn-your-hymnals-to-number-2002.html

Just remember ol' DED (rip) was writing about a standard 2002 and NOT a 2002tii - the higher performance model with fuel injection that came out 3 years later in the U.S. (BTW - if you think Dino parts are expensive, NOS fi pumps for a tii were listed at over $5,000 just a few years ago). Gawd damn I miss our fully restored 1972 tii that we sold two years ago.

Oh, as if you didn't already know, that is a nice looking gt you've got there (even if another "ol' Dave" might have had something to do with it at one time or another).

Mine is very large, 150M², and high, 4M80, but not as clean as it was a part of a 350 y.o. winery.

    Hi,
I,m italian guy and I love ferrari.
In my opinion the ferrari 246 (dino) is a great car. In Itali this model is very very and very expensive, about 180000,00 euros.
Alfredo Ferrari (Dino) was a big mind and big engeneering.
You are a good people because yuo used this great car. In Italy we did use the old car because law pollution....
    Sorry for my lenguage.

Pascal, what a wonderful place you have. If you've not fixed it yet, that winery presents such potential for a great garage. You are lucky.
