OK, a fun question. Anybody know? At least in the US, O'Hare has to be near the top of the list. JFK used to operate more runways than it does now, but a bunch were turned into taxiways. So it probably doesn't rank at the top. Probably Dallas/Ft. Worth is up there as well. How about in Europe? Asia? etc.?

That is a good one. ORD and DFW both have 7. It is hard to imagine an airport with more than that but I am sure there is one somewhere in the world. It would be interesting to know where.

I know the thread's about active runways but, if it's not minded, I'd add traffic into the mix as well. If so, my opines.

Osh-Kosh for one weekend in the year. Anchorage for seaplanes; may be interesting to see how much traffic if you combine the ground and sea sides. I know Anchorage tower controls landing and departing sea traffic and there's a ton of it. Pretty cool to see.

Overall, I'd go with Chee-Ka-Go for traffic and runways. JMO

I regularly fly out of VNY and it can get rather hectic sometimes, the only saving grace is that require us helicopters to use the taxiway so we can usualy get in and out without clogging up the runway.

Easy! It's the one where airplanes are taking off and landing all the time.
