Who hates Friends?

Neither have I,it"s not that I don"t have a T.V. is just that I have seen the adverts for it and it"s never appealed to me,it is strange how people get so into it,I guess it"s the same type of people who think it"s all real,very sad .

 

Friends sucks. No intelligence to their comedy, or complexity to their stories. Very weak.

 

Oh, yeah I forgot, I occ watch The Simpsons as well.

I do think the Simpsons are a bright point in an otherwise bleak medium.

Could not sit through Friends at all. Made me feel like my finite lifespan was going down the tubes for no purpose.

i have to say the most overrated on that show is lisa kudrow. She's ugly and she cant act.

 

I've never seen an episode either. Didn't care for it in the promos.

Seinfeld. Now there's a show!

 

no kidding.

nbc only has conan, scrubs and frasier, well frasier was cool back when i was a pa at paramount and used to nap on the buffalo suede couch on set. then i got caught, show sucked after that.

i never once could sit through an epi of seinfeld, friends, or the other vapid time slot fillers.

 

That's wierd that you would name all the shows I hate.

As far as NBC is concerned: Friends, Leno, Las Vegas.
Other shows: Law &Order(Base, CI, SVU in declining order of interest), Sopranos(best show on tv, although season 5 hasnt picked up enough yet), Alias(an inferior le femme nikkita but good none the less, how i miss that show)
and 24.

the sopranos is pure melodrama, i see nothing in that other than dragging on endlessly. nothing sould ever touch luc besson's classic, and i hate garner, i mean hate like punch her in the face hate. keifer is a neat guy, though i have never watched 24.

fashiontv, tourdefrance, f1racing, keen eddie, futurama (props for my man EH) and loads of classic tv on my list, yet i turn on the tv only to see the yankee scores anymore, nothing worth watching.

 

The only nonracing sports I can watch are the NCAA final four and the superbowl.
As far as racing, only WRC for me. On occasion, le mans.

I've never watched the show, since there's too much sexual innuendo and not enough intelligent conversation from the snippets I have seen. I always judge a quality television program by whether the most conservative person I know (priest, rabbi, mom) would feel confortable watching it with me. As far as the money is concerned, I gave up buying into the hype a long time ago. I could care less if they make a gazillion dollars an episode or plugged whatever product they wanted to. When it comes down to it, there's no sense in lusting after something you'll never have (Mr. Britney Spears), especially when the rest of your sex on this earth (about 4 billion people or so) have what I'm really lusting after anyway...

 

Every time I accidentally came across it while looking for the speed channel or ESPN,a different Friend was boinking a different Friend.(can I say that?).

Sounds to me like alot of you are really 'showing your age' on this one.....

I can't understand why people who love 'Whine"-feld/Simpsons/Frasier would dump on Friends so much.....I guess its a generational 'thing'. Millions of people who made it the NUMBER ONE show in America could relate to it more than anything else on TV. There's something to be said for that.
