He's nearly 40 for crying out loud, firstly, why would Ferrari drop one of their drivers and secondly, why would Hamilton commit career suicide to attempt the impossible.
'Tis so.....but.....'tain't necessarily so. Jim, one of the best of all time, couldn't get a handle on his '38 in the '66 500 (two spins to second), yet he won with one in '65.
Hamilton is 36 ! Nothing is impossible. Schumacher proved that at Ferrari. And George out qualified Hamilton at Spa, in a Williams.
Not really, This year SF21 was a handful to drive. But cars with a very good downforce balancement are a lot easier to drive.
Huh? All the data.....all the engineering......doesn't put an iota of the feel, decision making, and execution, into the drivers. That's still inherent.....or not.....in them. Nonetheless, if a design does not suit a driver's fancy, they can not perform magic. Not a single one of them. Ever.
After 8 years of Merc practically guaranteed at least 1 podium every single race weekend, wanting other teams to be ahead of them doesn't make me a fan of the sport? Get over yourself!
Of course I do. No magic tho'. And will not go down as one of the greats. 'Same as all the respect I have for Graham.....'just not that one level higher.....a natural like a Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Prost, Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton, Verstappen (and whoever else I might have forgotten)......
