    1998 was also very impressive.
The Newey Mclaren-Mercedes was an absolute war machine with one second per lap advantage in Melbourne.

So if he drove for only top teams and won 10 chanpionships would he be considered one of the greatest?

He is one of the greatest because winning so much with Ferrari is unique.
The Mercedes Formula One team is without a doubt the most formidable concentration of talent in the history of this sport with an unlimited budget.
It doesn’t take away from Lewis' titles, but to be honest, it does weigh them.

No way. Hamilton's team mate finished 7th. Hamilton outdrove that car. Other greats have done it. No need to try to make excuses when Hamilton does it.

Kovalainen was far from being Massa or Raikkonen.

Please don't mistake context for excuses. Gasly won Monza. Norris has yet to win a race. However, I agree that Norris is the superior driver.

Norris is a superior driver if you want to compare with the 2019 Gasly.
The 2021 Gasly is a hugely improved millesime.

I think Norris is still the better driver, but I agree that Gasly is very solid. He would be a good addition to any team.

If Norris seems to be very gifted naturally, he looks to me quite mentally fragile as he confessed to autosport recently.
    Gasly has incredible mental strength.
Wanting to come back to Red Bull to rub shoulders with Max after the 2019 episode is absolutely crazy.
    This guy’s got steel balls!

No, just Daniel Ricciardo who has won diddly squat and who has just been spanked by Lando Norris.

To be Verstappen’s teammate is a pure nightmare believe me ..
Worse in a non dominant car like the RB16B.

Unless it's forced upon him, I cannot see why Hamilton should want to drive for those 2 teams.

The likely scenario, if Mercedes didn't renew his contract, would be for him to retire.

One can see what happens to WDCs who stay to long in F1; just look at Vettel, Raikkonen or Alonso, being mid-fielders at best.

Not as much as a nightmare as being stuck in a car that will never win anything.

Why on earth should a top driver fear facing Verstappen?
