If rules were broken by Masi, the FIA should step in and "get rid of Masi and overturn the 2021 WDC championship" as most Pro-Lewis fans would like.............please.

I can only talk about the last race, since it was the decider, and both drivers were on equal points then.

There have been mistakes from both drivers, and Masi, during the whole season. I won't forget the Belgian "GP" farce!

2021 was been marked by the incompetence of FIA officials during the season, and in particular Masi, IMO.

I personally don't advocate to overturn the result, in respect to Max Verstappen and Red Bull.

They only seized an opportunity and are not to blame for what happened.

Beside, it wouldn't be good for the image of the sport. Others may have a different opinion.

But the FIA has to seriously examine the way it oversee racing, and not give a blank cheque to an official.

    Masi should go, IMO.

Masi did NOT break the rules, and the championship is NOT decided in one lap of one race  (unless, of course, Hamilton's criminal assault in Silverstone had resulted in worse injury to Verstappen)

I have read the rules. You haven't. 48.13 over-rides 48.12, and 15.3 gives the Race Director over-riding authority over the options given to the "race clerk". Exercising the power given to you BY THE RULES is not the same thing as "breaking the rules" (honestly, this isn't even hard to understand)

I have explained ALL of these rules to the Hamilton fanboys ... more than once ... but they refuse to understand plain English and logic, and instead scream their temper tantrums with their fingers in their ears.

Hamilton LOST. All the stewards know it. All the FIA officials know it. Give it up already ... your hero lost, and Max Verstappen is the unchallenged World Champion of 2021.

Lewis' tires weren't in "decent shape" with 40-plus laps.

Also, you (accidentally) always type "where" when you mean "were." Must be an auto-correct issue . . .

We agree there: Masi used his over-ridding authority to decide who should be WDC !

And when challenged immediatly after, all he could say was: "Well, it's racing!"

I read the same rules you speak of. Masi broke the rules. If you want to word it another fancier way, knock yourself out. Look back at the season. Noticed how the safetycar was handled. These percedures were'nt random. They were following the rules. Untill the last race. It seems you are the one with the tempertantrum. You are not at peace with Max's championship. I see it as it is. Masi broke the rules. Your hero Masi broke the rules, give it up already.

Points in Abu Dhabi count the same as points in any other race of the season. The season wasn't decided in the last lap of the last race.

The only reason that Hamilton was still in contention by the last lap of the last race, was the collection of gifts given to him by the stewards throughout the season ... Silverstone, lap one of Abu Dhabi, etc etc.

48.13, and Masi's authority, over-ride 48.12 (a rule with ambiguous language to begin with). Masi didn't order Hamilton to keep the old tires. Masi didn't swap the positions of Verstappen and Hamilton. Masi's decision, FULLY authorized by the rules as written and understood, allowed the cars to RACE (heaven forbid!) ... with Hamilton in the lead, with one lap to go.

    Hamilton lost.

Hamilton LOST, and Vestappen is the unchallenged World Champion of 2021. I accept reality. I'm fine with it :)

Could not possibly be happier for Max, and the sport itself :)

But ... what color is the sky in your world? How long can we expect your sore-loser temper-tantrums to last?

At this stage of the race, all of Masi’s decisions were decisive in awarding the title.
The only thing in reality that you blame him is not to have taken the one that made Lewis world champion (finish the race under SC or leave the latecomers between him and Max)

And that's not good for the sport.

Usually, you only see that sort of cock-up in club racing where the officials are volunteers.

    You're right, it wasn't a fair fight...

    Rear wing vs Front wings
    Bahrain track cuts
    Suspicious rear suspension
    Monster engine
    DRS rear wing
Huge budget for extra testing engines
    Mid season pit equipment ban
    and so on

Oh and since we're talking about cushions taken away....You're remarkably silent on the fact that Lewis got nearly 2 laps back in Imola...talk about cushions!

The turbo-hybrid era wasn't good for the sport.

Abu Dhabi generated billions in dollars and viewership......it was great for the sport.

2022 will be a continuation of those billions to see Lewis and Max go at it again.....it's all for the show and we will again watch with great enthusiasm. Hopefully Ferrari gets to play as well.

I hope Ferrari is a front runner. Id rather see Charles and Lewis battle rather than Lewis and Max. There would be more actual racing.

I know English isn't your first language. I think your command of English is mighty impressive, even better than many native (English-as-a-first-language) speakers. The Where-Were thing was is NO WAY meant as a criticism! Was just merely pointing it out, that's all.
