O my days... For those of you who have got your hands on one you do not understand how lucky you are.
I'm unimpressed as the leaked pics already showed the real deal. Name and some vents just there for marketing, I guess. They might as well have brought back any other historic moniker, no particular relation to TdF, am I wrong? It will surely grow on me but anyway the rear is a huge step in a wrong direction IMO. The black stripe between taillights just cosmetic???
Love the f12, love the f12 tdf even more. I probably would do without the rear stripe. For the rest of it I think it's fantastic.
I'm kinda depressed right now... I want to be one of the futur owner. This car represent everything I love in automotive. ALl you futur owners just enjoy it to the max and please do not forget to post many pictures when delivered, and not only "Sorry for the crappy Iphone pictures taken at the dealership" Shoot your car ! it desserves it !!
I am so glad I have been able to get one, the photos are good, but the car itself is breathtaking. That is before anyone drives it. I am so so excited
Now all you have to do is choose the color for the exterior and the interior. Do you get the factory delivery of your tdf?
Already all chosen, did factory visit. Nothing to say until it arrives, which will be March to April 2016. The aero detailing is amazing, the rear under tray will cause you to lie on the floor to look at how it all works. I think like the 599 GTO owners, it is just one of those cars you will want to keep. There maybe a few more specials on the F12 (and F12M) but this really is an extreme F12 in the best traditions. Ferrari really do know their stuff and of course as this thread shows their customers. Felisa really has been a legend in Ferrari and his work at pushing Ferrari to these current levels one of the great modern automotive triumphs and as good as any of his legendary predecessors.
Having Mr Felisa at the controls instead of some accountant is the best; he really understands what the customer wants and also how to build the dream model. Paul, thank you for sharing these detail. The anticipation is half the fun as they build your new Ferrari!
No big surprises, isn´t it? The standard F12 looks better for me, except the rear. Can they put a tdf rear bumper in a standard F12?
Well done Ferrari. The shot full from the front is impressive to say the least. Looks like it is going eat you alive. Love it. The rear end needs to grow on me but overall this is one mighty impressive car powered by a high revving N/A V12. What is there not to like? and wait until we start driving it Cheers, M
The front is just absolutely beastly. I love it. Still undecided about the 3 vents on the rear arches and that silly band on the rear.
I'm completely sharing your feeling when seeing the front of the car. Like me you'll probably get used to the rear quickly. The interior is also sick as hell with matte carbon around the instrument cluster So you're officially getting one... congrats ! I hope you'll make a very elaborated build like on the mighty GF HGTE Cant' wait for the delivery threads of you, nads, camlet, traveller, Dr Lipinski, treynor, Shiraz, Peter.. well the Lucky Bastard Clan...
Sharp. Dig the mesh grille. Rear's not too bad, and it steers. Bound to be a reasonable runner! Suspect tortesq will be relieved it's not a "GTO"?
the optionnal wheels for the F12 (Not available on the configurator... only on the accessories catalog) share the shape of the LaF wheels. Maybe they'll fit a TDF. Check Roma's posts. He got them in black Those are also featured on the Singapore limited edition
Here is a very intriguing quote from the article; "Ferrari engineers have installed a rear-wheel steering system to compensate the car’s natural tendency to oversteer. Known as the Virtual Short Wheelbase, it is integrated with the other vehicle control systems, which improves steering response and high-speed stability."
