That one hurt! Redsox came and had attitude, Yankees knew their backs were up against the wall! Get rid of practically the whole team. Keep a few of the big game players and THAT'S IT!
To me the Yankees weren't serious enough. Grandstanding a home run and ending up with a single is beyond excusable in a one game series Boston really knows how to play in that stadium.
I am still in SHOCK after last nights Dodger / Cards game. That was a complete nail biter. Super pitched, super managed by both sides. If you look at the replay of the walk off home run the Cards pitcher knew as soon as it left the bat it was a home run. He just walked slowly into his dugout.
That really was an amazing game last night. Dave Roberts managed the game very well (this time around). Sometimes I wonder why he leaves in pitchers too long or other decisions. Giants game will be epic as you mentioned.

Perfect playoffs scenario. Redsux and Dodgers get eliminated in the ALCS & NLCS. (coming from a Yankee fan).
Everyone seems to be picking the Astros to beat the Braves, but then everyone seemed to be picking the Dodgers. If the Braves' pitching holds up, they have a good chance to win, though Houston has home-field advantage.
Some so called pundits in Boston postulated that the MLB would instruct the umps to make sure the Sox and Dodgers won because that would bring in the best TV ratings. I guess they didn't count on the Sox not being able to hit their way out of the proverbial paper bag after game 3.
Does anyone here think that the Astros should have been forced to forfeit their 2017 Series win because of the sign-stealing scandal?
Whoever has the best pitching will win. The Braves did a pretty good job of shutting down the Dodgers.
Haters gonna hate. And if that really gave the Astros an upperhand, wouldn't they have completely fallen off the cliff since then? Still can't believe people think baseball is as pure as they like to believe.
