That is such a tough call at the moment - but maybe Stroll just edges it this weekend when he was ranting to his team and hadn't realised his car was damaged lol

    Best,

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Canada has it's fair share of attrition. So, with a bit of luck, he'll have a good day at home.

Maybe not "worst" but Verstappen gets my vote for "Most over-rated" for his driving this year. Sure it's easy to crash at Monaco, and I can barely get around it on a computer game, but he seems to always crash at Monaco, although this year was in FP3. I'm not sold on his duel with Sainz at the chicane, but the stewards let them keep racing so no harm done on that one. Maybe he can complete a clean weekend in Montreal.

Right, If Hamilton gets denigrated for succeeding with a great car, what does Verstapen deserve for absolutely trashing his opportunities with a great car?

    Quite a few, apparently!

But seriously folks . . . . . these are forums for opinion and should be treated in a casual way.

You're right. There is no need to jump off the deep end or get personal with any of your fellow F-chatters. That's what P&R is for!

It’s obvious that the top 2 in the hunt for Worst Driver Championship are Gro and Stroll, but we shouldn’t dismiss Hartley just yet. He’s absolutely terrible and could yet put in a strong challenge for the WDC.

Talking "seriously" there are 4 candidates to the prize. (Romain is havinv a bad time..very bad, but let's face it, he's far better driver than any of the other i will mention.

    Stroll
    Hartley
    Sirotkin
    Eriksson

Of these four, I think Eriksson has been doing quite well, very solid, no mistakes...not very fast but consistent, i think he improved a lot and to me he's the best of these four.
Sirotkin seems to be faster then lancelot..he's prone to mistakes but he's the leaste xperienced of the bunch so i'll cut him some slack.
Hartley is just too slow, he comes from a diferent discipline and he just doens't have the pace
Stroll is utter crap, he's slow, crashes a lot and ******* a lot...it's all bad, and he has got more thaining than anyone else!!!
I vote for Stroll a sthe worst of the bunch!
There you go, all scientificly explained!

I agree with you about Grosjean. Hartley I am not sure of--either Gasly is an exceptional talent or the car is better than we think.

While I am not a huge fan of Lance, there remains some hope for improvement from him....I doubt it, but it is possible. He has been thrown in the deep end with a lot of funding and it has not helped his career, IMO. RG on the other hand has a lot of experience, including 4 years in GP2 and is still doing monumentally stupid things in a F1 car on track. Both seem to be whining a good bit to their teams this year....STR is frustrated with the car and does not have the experience (or a team mate) that can help develop the car. GRO can't seem to come to grips with the car, the brakes (for years) and is generally in need of emotional re-calibration on a regular basis. I think it can be said that STR has a worse chassis with the Williams than GRO has in the Haas. Comparing to team mates bears that theory out.

    Let's look at some statistics:

    Total F1 races: GRO - 130, started 128 STR - 26
    Drivers Points 2018: GRO - 0, STR - 4
    Team Points 2018: Haas 8th - 19 pts, Williams, 10th - 4 pts
Car driven: GRO - Haas Ferrari, STR - Williams Mercedes
    2018 crashes under safety car: GRO-1, STR-0
Outperforming team mate: GRO - no, MAG 10th in drivers championship, GRO 19th. STR - yes, STR 16th, SIR 20th and last

I know it is popular to dislike Lance because of how he has gotten to F1 as a pay driver, but he is out performing GRO in a lesser car.....

    "Lies, damnable lies and statistics"
Aside from starts I don't think that Stroll has executed a pass for position this season. He just has no racecraft, IMO Grosjean would whup him in a straight fight.

That's why I voted for Hartley, because I am so disappointed by him in F1. I cannot believe Marko called him back, years after sacking him !

I already know that Stroll couldn't pull the risk of a rice pudding, so I didn't bother to vote for him.

Ericsson is just a feature on the grid, and a mobile chicane during the races, but at least he keeps his nose clean and not many complain about him.

Grosjean is too erratic for his experience.
