Just have to say that this section of Fchat has really found reverse gear. Who agrees????? Who thinks we need to lift our collective games??? who knows how to add a poll??????????????????????????????????????
We all know what PP is like. Start some interesting threads to encourage people posting and see what happens.
I must say as a relatively new Ferrari owner and member of FCA, this Aussie section is repulsive. I'm a member of many different automotive forums, and I have never seen anything like this.. Think i'll just hang out in the 360/430 section where people are happy with their cars.
that may be so, and most of the members have likely known each other for years. As a newcomer its disorientating.
I agree...but hang around and make yourself known and it'll all become clear to you. Most of us have know each other on here for up to 30 years....and like most people, we like to make fun of each other. It's not all serious. Once in a while, however, a serious issue comes up, but mostly it's just a bit of fun.
Not sure about that. This is a public forum and personal attacks should not be tolerated. And yes before I get flamed . I have been guilty of the odd offensive remark but in my own defense only after being provoked. I notice that this section is shrinking with number of posts and posters declining. Maybe Mods can weigh in with stats. There is a large Ferari community in OZ and it would be sad that if it became irrelevant in this forum.
the australian section is frequented by many who know each other. so the irreverent and seemingly **** stirring banter can be taken the wrong way. i thought as much when i joined fchat a few years ago, but after meeting some of the members personally i found them good people. if the quality of the information is found lacking, surely it's pretty easy to start a thread that may be of interest to others? i don't have a lot to contribute, but try to chime in when i can. if anyone is after specific ferrari information then it's best to head directly to that models section.
Absolutely correct. You might get some useful info about cars here once in a while, but the real wealth of information is in the specific model section.
Well one particular poster has left and he was responsible for 90% of the threads and 95% of the posts.
Maybe we could have sone suggestions on how to make our section more welcoming and less confronting for newcomers and those in the "clique"
Don't worry about new members how about the current members that avoid this section.. I regularly see "aussie" members in other sections that never post in oz section. Do they avoid it because of previous ex-members being *******s? or ...? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/new-member-introductions/409961-360-modena-australia.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific/412313-prices-australia.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/new-member-introductions/355994-gday-downunder.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific/348194-ferrari-mechanic.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/new-member-introductions/363462-gday-melbourne-australia.html Overall I have noticed a drop in posts in lots of sections.. Most sections seem quite compared to a few years ago...
