not necessarily related to the original poster, but many people selling something think nothing of adding a little embellishment to bump the price... the car that has some rich (but unsubstantiated) story. Some see this as fraudulent, some sellers think "oh what's the difference".

Point being, a story without backup is a story only.

The brick is cut easily with a waterjet... would take several minutes per brick. If anyone wants to do this, buy some bricks, take them to a waterjet cutting place (look up omax or flow and they'll tell you who in your area has a waterjet)... or just look in the yellow pages or on Google. If you take the guy 50 bricks and a vector file of the artwork, I can't see him charging more than a several hundred for the whole job. Hell, they'd probably do a single for $50 or less.

Then you can whip up whatever sentimental story you like and sell 'em for $100 and make a bundle :D

Yes...It is a water jet cut and its done by a flow machine.
And no, It does not take a couple of minutes to cut the brick. It takes exactly 38 minutes at 40% low speed to cut one brick.
The water jet people usually charge anywhere from $250-300 per hour for cut time. At least the people I use do.
So if you do the math, its around $135 for one brick. As i mentioned before, this is not a get rich over nite scam. Its just an art project using bricks with a bit of Ferrari history.

I was trying to save the thread. It began as a commercial post offering the bricks for sale. I thought the bricks themselves might warrant discussion and removed all mention of them being for sale and PM'd the OP to subscribe and place an ad in FerrariAds. I had no idea that he'd also posted them for sale in the 360/430 forum.

Now that this thread has turned back into a classified ad...

    Thread locked.
