No, it is not my old car (thank God), as it has not been gone from my house long enough... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those wheels are ugly. I quite like it though, although the rear gate wont do the aerodynamics any good.
+++ and the stock A-line wheels were certainly just about the best styling feature of the late ZR-1s. Maybe they could leave the tailgate down and put on one of those yellow nylon cargo nets.
I used to have a bunch of pictures of Porsche 928s converted to "pickups" - when done properly, I thought they looked great. What's wrong with a similarly converted ZR-1? Many things are made to haul things... such a vehicle is made to haul a$$
Uhmmm - because a Porsche 928 (which looked a lot like an AMC Pacer), could probably actually be improved by such a thing. Although this looks to be reasonably well done, almost every ZR-1 owner I post with thinks it is akin to making a spyder out of a Testarossa. BTW, nobody knows if it was a real ZR-1 or just had a badge applied.
this is what El Camino owners buy when they win the lottery! could the B-pillar be any more clumsily designed/installed? awful.
I think it's rather cool. It's good for a shop truck or customer service vehicle. They make 40K vettes a year so it's not like you're drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa or anything.
Rattles, you want to hear rattles? Let me stretch this wheelbase and I will give you rattles. Taz Terry Phillips
Actually it might be a real one. It is hard to tell but on each side of the license plate there are two black spacers and then the reverse parking lights. They had to add the black spacers to compensate for the extra width that the ZR-1 had over normal vettes.
