that's possible, but due to the fact that there is a really nice weather forecast for the weekend, it'll be more likely the 355...can't tell you at the moment.

Gentlemen!

I apologise for having kept such a low profile over the past weeks. It's been an incredibly busy and stressful time for my wife and I, both professionally and personally. To cut a long story short:

* We both resigned our current jobs
* We have both found new jobs in another country!
* We have found successors to fill the jobs we are vacating.
* My wife has already started working in the new country
* We are looking for a home there.
* We drove the 328 on a wonderful 18 hour trip to the new country last weekend.
* This is my last month in this job - and then I take three months off to "chill out".
* My new job starts on January 1, 2004.

So....my wife and I are currently living apart, and my Ferrari is far away in a different country!

Debra is flying in to spend the weekend with me, and we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of our first date on September 7. So it will be impossible for me to be at the Nürburgring on Sunday. I would love to, but our (long distance) relationship is more important at this stage!

I can't believe all the activity on F-Chat! It seems that as the end of summer approaches, members are spending more time indoors! The bull*** at http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/132929/304631.html?1061948524 is just unbelievable. Wahnsinn...as we say in Africa!

More details of the changes in our lives (and the good driving we've had) in due course.

It's good to be back!!

Uwe,

Yes you are right and I found the right translation and EVEN to mee I saw clearly the conntext to the carpet dealer. In the 20th century it changed to the open-air-used-car-dealer with all the funny colored flags in his yard.

Yes, I have got the mail from the FCD office too. I appreciate it very much - how unusal human for the FCD? Hopefully they are now at least on the right way?!

Hi Wolfgang,

I suppose that carpetbagger has been derivated from carpet dealer ;-)

The carpet dealers in germany where most gypsies who have made the deals at the front door. The public mind about gypsies is not very positive ;-)

@Sebastian,

do you would like to come on Saturday for the dinner? Of course you are kindly invited.
Can I drop you on our list for Sunday morning?
Is there anthing I can arrange for you or your father?
Let me know or just call me in my store.

@Uwe,
Well, the 40th Anniversary is a big party! I rember mine a few days ago;-)
I`m sad not to CU on Saturday but its more important to drive together on Sunday morning. So enjoy the party & and best regards to your family.
CU later at the crackerbarrel (yes, i have learned something, thanks) at 19:30 p.m.
But there is another word I can not find the right translation/meaning. You mentioned in the same post: "....because here in ECB I have to talk and write in english"
Ääääh ECB ???
I know, everybody will laugh about me but I can not translate this short cut version. Also, I believe that I was the only one who didn`t know the meaning of your plate: DAU

I was not following this discussion till now, but we think about joining your group on 07/10/03 with the 355 or our new baby :-)

Could someone tell me where to get 2 tickets for the event? Wolfgang, is that your deal? What's the difference between the VIP-Package and the "normal" tickets? As far as I can read here, the VIP-Tickets are already sold out?!

Thanks for your friendly help...we now have to decide which car we'll take that day...~ 400 hp or the 470 hp ;-)

Hi Wolfgang,

I agree with you - 1000 PS can probably be handled by the gearbox but I think that the torque is to much for the "King" ;-)

It's very bad for the guy. I think R.F. has repaird the gearbox two years ago by the production of hand made gears.

PS: R.F. will come to the event, too BUT
"only if there will be not so much work in the garage. Actually he has the "Competitione" and a 360 in the garage.

Uwe,
...the problem w/the mirror..that I`m too fast;-)
Aaah, first I thought, that your new exhaust system was too loud and the mirror slivers (Ha, found this on your web link for translation).
Thanks a lot and I bookmarket that funny link.
But what the hell is this:
exhaust system = Absaug / Abluftsystem
.....english for runaway;-)

Hi Wolfgang,

the problem with the mirror is that I'm to fast for the material ;-)

English for runaways :-)
Crackerbarrel = Stammtisch

You can check this on
http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/

That is my favorite web site for translation (because here in ECB I have to talk and write in english)

@ Uwe, sure we will meet us on Friday. Thanks a lot for calling me yesterday. I was sad to hear, that your second mirror f*** off. What a hell-driver are you?! The first one on the left side
has been killed just a couple of weeks ago and now, you smashed the right mirror;-)
But what the hell is a "Crackerbarrel". Me and my dictionary are too stupid to find the right translation - please delight me my dear friend!

@Heiko, some pics from the drive yesterday?

Hi Wolfgang,

I have had a short phone call from Heiko. He will definitly not join us because his car is in an exhebition at Hockenheim ...

The carpassion section seems to be 3 or 4 owners who will make the ride to Nürburgring. Actually it is not totally clear who will meet us at Hockenheim.

@Wolfgang,

I have sent Michael an EMail
Thomas is on vacation on that day

@Trevi

it seems no problem to get more tickets
In the letter of Nurburgring GmbH (official organizer) is mentioned that there will be the possibility for "Quickies" ;-) to buy more ticket at

Hotel "Dottinger Höhe" on the B 258
That hotel is about 1.5 km away from the Nürburgring.

@All together
I'm totally excited to see you all in Hockenheim and to drive in a convoi to the Nürburgring.

Hi Wolfgang,

sorry I've read the thread so late.
I will bring a maximum of 3 more Ferrarista to Hockenheim:

Matthias: F 355 GTS
Michael: F 348 GTB
Thomas: F 348 GTS (not confirmed till yet)

On the other hand it could be that there will be a lot more Ferrarista (from Carpassion) who has read the thread there.

As more people as better

Ton - I hope you will join us, too.

Hello Trevi & Andrea (hope he will also read this thread?),

the ticket is ONLY for 1 Person and 1 car!!!!!
The passanger needs another one ( yes, 100,- Euro) for entry and catering. You have always to show your ticket at the entry, paddock entry, vip-catering a.s.o.
Its usual and understandable.
I can`t buy 1 ticket and think that my girlfriend is enclosed in my price/ticket for everything (like the catering).
So, if you need NOW 3 more tickets for your wifes/girlfriends......mhm I don`t know but I will do my very best to call tomorrow morning for another 3 tickets. PLEASE advice me a.s.a.p. with your serious order.

wolfgang,

stupid question, but i implicitely assumed it by the fact, that the passenger name was not necessary to indicate, is the ticket per car or per person?

i know, that comes a little late :-o

Trevi,

you don`t need to name the passanger - just the driver and the plate. Must call the Nürburgring AG now to know the dead line for ordering.

You can send me the infos about the order via PM or Fax: +49 6202 - 127032
