I look forward to hearing from you when the complete two-piece gear is available. Paypal will be fine. Thanks.

Were these new old stock actuators purchased from Ferrari? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that there were two types of shafts on various 355 and 348 timer actuators (i.e. the motor drive gear was different, too). If this is true, then wouldn't we have to provide the original shaft anyway (or photograph/measure it) to ensure it matched properly?

No, these old stock actuators were not from Ferrari, instead they from Fiat/Alfa/Lancia, which is now rare and expensive. The ones from Fiat/Alfa/Lancia do not have Ferrari unique potentiometer and can only be taken the advantage of the gears and motor.

It is lid actuator 63306700 that exits two type of actuators, both with 2 wires, with totally different outlook and shaft/internal gear and motor. Interestingly, one of two types 2 wire lid actuator is the same outlook and shaft/internal gears with timing actuator 73307100 as thread Ferrari 348 HVAC Flap Actuator Failure showed without the potentiometer.

For timing actuator 63307100, the focus of this thread, there is “only one type” the same outlook and shaft/internal gears as one of two types 2 wires lid actuator, except 63307100 is with unique potentiometer and 5 wires.

So, no need to confirm if shaft matched if we are talking only about timing actuator 63307100.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Here you go, a duplicated disk shaft. One is genuine and one is a copy for a comparison.

Here we go and followed by over-molding and test on the actuator.

Test results of two-piece complete gear with molded disk shaft and over-molded gear on the actuator are perfect.

    Runs smooth and quiet.

The complete direct replacement for the genuine gear of 63307100 is available and listed on ebay. A special note is a conditional 3 years guarantee for free.

However, post office shipment from Taiwan will be resumed after Chinese New Year holidays which is around 2/14/2025.

Paypal payment either on ebay or offline is up to you. If on ebay, I will create a listed item with a happy discounted pricing exclusively for you to pay with ebay protection. If offline, I will PM you for the discounted pricing me and reply to me your paypal email account so that I can send you a invoice.

I do appreciate your purchase of the complete gear. Rest assured with the conditional 3 years guarantee for free.

It is kind of you simply placing the order without asking discount. However, a promised discount had been still refunded to you.

Hope you like it and leave me any feedback at your convenience.

Many people came to me and placed the order for restore, however, in the end they found the actuator lost. Pity!

As mentioned earlier, do not throw away your timing actuator after parts change or failed repair. It is very precious.

I manage to stop the restore service since it does not look feasible. Especially because the casting material has a lifespan and could not standby whenever people is in need.

    Sorry for those watchers.

Sorry to hear that. Anyway, at least you helped some people.

Is this because the material is hard to acquire in small batches and is expensive?

Thanks for the response. I am happy too that I had people able to keep their Ferrari vintage.

However, complete gear is still available.

Material storage issue from supply point of view. The material begin to deteriorate after certain period of time from opening and become unstable to control. It does not make sense to re-acquire the material from time to time just to keep the "restore only" service standby. And the material is hard to acquire and arrive soon as well as is sort of expensive compared to the outputs. Yes, you are right.

From demand side, seems like either people had lost their which several orders proved or people who hold a remaining disk shaft do not value the vintage gear restore. Other than that, maybe asking people to send the remaining disk shaft is not feasible.

Stop the "restore only" service also avoid people from confusion with another option of complete gear.

Maybe "restore only" service could be still available with the condition that complete gear is in batch production? Let's see.

    Thank you for asking.

    ebay.

However, they are temporarily removed from ebay for the time being since I am in the middle of making some adjustments. If they are back on ebay, will PM you if you wish.

Excuse me that I have been a little bit lazy recently since not too many needs out there. If things going well, I managed to bring them back on ebay no later than mid May.

Erik thanks for your asking and attention.

So sorry for the delay since other projects with higher priority interrupted.

Please rest assured that the production will certainly continue, given so much investments had been made.

It looks the same as the solution of Eurospares except Ricambi has the connecter.

However, they are all 3 wires which is different from the 5 wires as original 63307100. So I am very curious how it works when connected to the 5 male pin of the harness?

A 3 pin definitely won't work in place of a 5 pin actuator. Someone is mixing up their actuators.

How do you know they are 3 wires? In the picture you can see at least 4 wires as far as I can tell...

By the way, I took my actuator apart, which was interesting :) However, I dropped it on my desk before taking a picture of how the cogs where arranged. Is there anyone that has a picture on how they should be arranged so I can get them back in the right order?

Yes, 4 wires can be seen on the picture provided by Ricambi. There is a faint yellow wire to the left of the green and there is probably another one somewhere behind.

    Thanks for the correction. Interesting!

    Hopefully there are 5 wires.;)

BTW, by carefully looking into Eurospares picture, there seems to be a connector as well?
