These mid 80s 911s are great cars and this is an amazing example!!! Love the specs and especially the interior. If I did not already have an '86 DP cabriolet, I would be all over this. GLWTS

The OP/Ad car immediately reminded me of the b+b Porsches of the 70s, one of the early companies that would create whatever you wanted that the factory didn't provide. And then, there's the DP............ first car that scared the hell out of me. Didn't know they made a cabriolet.
I remember photos of Rod Stewart during his LA days in a similar car? And to the OP. Fantastic Porsche, like so many of your cars! GLWS
Won't hijack this tread on this fantastic car. We can further discuss DP cars here https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/dp-porsche-thread.219334/#post-145866275
were "factory turbo look" cars actual turbo body cars/chassis with a smaller engine installed or did the factory modify the bodies after?
They were factory widebody cars with a n/a 3.2 motor, instead of the f/i 3.3. Factory meaning the car also had the turbo brakes and turbo suspension.
Yes, they are factory turbo bodies, factory turbo suspension, brakes rotors. 3.3 /3.2L Na engines. Differences: No turbo, No turbo exhaust, No turbo gauges. "turbo look"

just for info I purchased a beautiful low mileage silver 1986 930 Turbo from this seller a few years ago and it has really been a great car .. and it was beautifully detailed as well... I love this one also .......
I was just looking at the photos that Porsche yesterday. . NICE! Wanna sell or do some trading? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It’s factory. Factory did this quit a bit. Just black paint on top of the texture that porsche sprays.
Interesting. I understand that the turbo's, and turbo-look, had the black in the wheel wells over the base color. They must have changed their procedures after 85' as my '87 M491 is not nearly as 'neat' at that, i.e. no masking and not nearly as uniform or extensive. Was told by a nationally recognized expert that Porsche just <paraphrasing> 'stuck the paint gun in there and waved it around a bit'. No two were the same. Nice looking car. GLWS
Leather looks non-original. Matte finish, too soft looking (original German leather was thicker) and telltale wrinkles on sides.
