I know that there was a maximum of 8 couples for the accommodation in Tuscany. The others had to stay in another location.
Eugenio will join us for 99% sure with Maura and his beautiful 328 GTS. (or should I say that he will join us with his beautiful Maura and his 328 GTS).

Announcement - I have booked 4 rooms at the Frohsinn Hotel in Arbon, for the evening of the 8th of July (saturday). The reservations are for

    Ton
    Mark
    Marc
    Kevan

PATRICK AND WOLFGANG, IF YOU WANT TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN THIS HOTEL AND HAVE THE FIRST DINNER WITH US, PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP!!! I MUST BOOK SOON.

The program for the evening includes a tour of Frohsinn's own brewery and some beer tasting :) :) - yes it's all true... it's the oldest brewery in the region. The tour will be followed by dinner on the hotel's outside terrace.

Great news! Thanks for organizing. Veerle and I are really looking forward to spending time with you all during this beautiful trip.

    Andrea,
Please keep in mind that we might also be late. I have suggested to Marc, Mark and Kevan to cross the channel on friday and spend the first night at my place. But they prefer to take the saturdaymorning train to Calais. This is of course understandable but unfortunately means that we will meet a bit later in the day. I think that we will meet around 1 pm near Aachen. After that it still is a 6 hr drive to you guys. So, if all goes well we will arrive in Arbon around 7pm. But it is also possible, due to traffic, that we will arrive a bit later.
Nevertheless I would not want to miss the "COLD BEER ON A SATURDAYNIGHT" tour for a million! :)

Don't worry Ton, if you are late Simon and I will do the beer tour for you :D and we'll tell you all about it when you arrive :D :D

    NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:

For the last night of the tour (15th of July) I have now booked something amazing. I just spoke with the owner of a fantastic hotel secluded in the middle of a forest, on a lake with amazing views of the mountains. They recommend that we get there early to take advantage of the outdoor heated swimming pool with views on some of the highest peaks of the alps, and of course for the brave there is also the possibility of going for a swim in the lake! The hotel has its own private beach and terrace where we'll have a fantastic regional cuisine dinner.

It is not a touristy place, it is only for conneisseurs and mountaineers (and now for Fchatters too!). Mass tourists do not even know this lake exists. For those who think they can stretch their holiday further, I can book more nights there.

Same here! I also thought that it ended at the morning of the 15th. We more or less promised Eugenio to meet him at his summerhouse. I will discuss it with him this week. :)

The last night 15.-16. July sounds like a dream place - for sure we are in and stay there for a relaxed last night. Sunday morning after breakfast we have to drive back home, sadly.

Thanks for your fantastic organisation and to take care of us.

There must have been a misunderstanding somewhere. The plan was:

1 night in Arbon (8th of July) for those coming from far away
3 nights in S. Margherita Ligure (9-10-11 July)
    3 nights in S. Gimignano (12-13-14 July)
1 final night in the Alps (15 July) which brings everyone north, closer to home for those who have to travel back on the 16th. I thought this was very clear, I even mentioned the way to drive through the Tonale and Aprica passes on the 16th, in order to get to the Lake Como while avoiding the motorways.

Anyway, Wolfgang you're on! I'll make a reservation for you.

Regarding the final night, I recommend that you all join us. We're going to drive to a truly beautiful part of the Alps and on the 16th we can have a fantastic drive together to the Tonale Pass before saying goodbye. Also, this hotel I have booked only costs 73 Euros for the night!!! You can't go wrong for this price!!! To give you an idea of where we are going, look at this website:

    http://www.dolomitimolveno.com/html/il_lago.html

    I'm sure you'll love it.

    Hello Andrea,

I'm planning to join the bunch next morning somewhere around "Frohsinn".
    No reservation action required.
But a single room reservation in http/www.dolomitimolveno.com/html/il_lago.html for me is all right.
    Looks cool there!

    THX!

At long last I have booked the flight back to spend July in Italy. That means that my name can be added to the lucky one that will be attending the rally.
Eugenio + Maura - 328 GTS (the only Italian registered car as well) :)
    See you in Santa Margherita.
    Ciao
    Eugenio

Fantastic! We are happy that you will join us. Looking forward to seeing you and Maura again this summer.
Is there something that we can bring you from our low lands?

Bring us a Spkyer... and a six-pack of Hoegarten beer :) ... and some tulips for the girls. Only one thing we don't want from your land - please don't bring us the rain :)
