Thanks Solopist for pointing this out to me: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-Ferrari-308-GTB-Quattrovalvole-Rare-Exc-Cond-85_W0QQitemZ190043213036QQihZ009QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Looks like the guy who bought my car is selling it. It appears to have 1000 miles more on it then when he bought it in January and he drove it all the way from Houston to Atlanta, GA. Had ~84,250 when I sold it. Houston to Atlanta is 810 miles. He is a straight up guy, only issue I had was he never mailed the map back to me I let him borrow - oh well - he owns his own Gym. Probably too busy. He did everything he said he would and realy came across as a nice guy. I would say the car would be a steal at 28k and a "good" deal at 30k if he had the full 30k done. Car runs superb and looks fabulous. Engine bay is the biggest detractor from overall looks. If you had the intake manifold powder coated and the engine super detailed this car would be a knockout. If it is nolonger leaking oil he had the main drive shaft seal replaced and one other smaller seal. Did not leak bad when I had it but it leaked. Only issue I had was the RPM sensor went out. This was repaired by Vinatge Motor Cars in Houston. Car was originally from Atlanta and is now back near Atlanta. LAst two pics are mine. He does not mention the tools are with the car. Last pic is the last time I saw her when he was driving her to Atlanta. He made it in two days stopping over about 1/2 way. This could be a great 1st Ferrari for someone. You can drive the heck out of it with no fear of putting on miles, it starts right up, has new belts, looks like a show car (other then the engine bay) and sounds awesome. And here is my new baby 2 months later sitting right where my old baby left from. Just drove her again tonight. Talk about awesome weather in Houston today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just went to e-bay to take a look, and I lost my cookies. What in the wort is ...IT next to the car? Is the dude is drag or a really ugly chick? That has to be one of the most disgunting thnigs I have ever seen in my life.
Yikes! That is one scary lookin' chick! (Looks like a female body builder that put on a bit too much muscle!) All I can say is, don't piss her off! Birdman
Thanks guys for mention how "good" she looks. I'm not going to be able to get her out of my mind all day.
Man- you folks are tough. EDIT-Sorry- I just realized I was logged in on my brothers account. This is jwise.
What the hell--- LSU is that the guy that bought the car, some kind of hallloween prank? Dare somebody to post that to the bikini thread..........
LSU348- I remember that car- I talked to you about buying it last Summer, I think we even talked about options trading, I liked the car(esp pic sitting in your driveway, last year) but I was set on a Red Ferrari for my first one. (and mileage was a concern as a 1st time buyer)- beautiful car though.
What's the problem here? The owner was obviously just showing everyone what he used to yank the engine for the major. I bet she didn't even brake a nail.
From what I know she is pretty nice. Her voice certainly does not match her appearance. I heard her twice on the phone. Note he takes personal checks - I am sure he has no fear of taking care of any bouncers.
Hey Buckminister, If you go to ANY gym on South Beach you'll see plenty of girls...who look like that!
Too bad the license plate is all blotted out... I'll bet NNO could track this bad boy -- er, girl -- down.
The car looks nice in the pics, and with the recent service should be trouble free!! but I would be wary of the GEARBOX!! R
Based on the responses here, you might want to remove the muscle chick pics from your eBay ad. Sounds like she is nice, BUT. The potential buyers might think that is the seller. You will probably get a higher price w/o the 3 pics of her. My 2 cents.
I do not own the car any more - just sending over the link for the current owner. I have to agree on the pics although I guess he put them in there as they are from a magazine article.
Why? It was spot on superb and was checked by two cerified mechanics and given the seal of approval. It shifted superbly when I owned it.
