ok, you guys have seen the thread on their headers:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=179060

Now it's time to step up and place an order! I spoke with them briefly and they said if we can round up a confirmed 4+ Fchat orders we can get a better price. And they have headers on the shelf ready to ship, both 2.7 and 5.2 versions. I need headers now, so hopefully we'll get 4+ guys within a week or two. If not I'm just ordering on my own.

Send me a PM with contact info if you're in -

I am definitely interested. Do we have any numbers yet? Is there a performance gain/drain?

    ok here's the deal guys:

If we get 5+ confirmed orders, they'll drop the price to $2345 plus FREE shipping! Heck at that price you can buy a set just to hang on the wall as art work! :D :D :D

Best part is they're warrantied for life - if they ever crack or fail they'll repair or replace...in other words, no worries. Check their website, www.fabspeed.com

If you've been thinking of ditching the OEM headers that WILL fail eventually, now's the time to jump in. Myself and F355 Spider need to order ASAP, so if we don't get 3 more takers within a week or two the group buy will be off :(

PM me contact info if you're in - phone / address (free ship to continental US only)

This is for both 2.7 and 5.2 Motronic 355's; they have both in stock and ready to ship, no waiting for months on backorder...

I may be interested. Say, is there a heat shield required on these do you know? They are some great looking headers!! $2,345 I assume that for each?

Heat shields are highly recommended with any headers - I plan to make a shield for the alternator and motor mounts, and to shield the brake lines and oil drain line. You can have the headers ceramic coated also, either on your own or Fabspeed can have it done (extra cost). I'm still undecided if I'm going ceramic or not.

I certainly assume price is for the set (Fabspeed, correct me if I'm wrong!)

Just an unrelated question. Do you guys expect better performance/weight saving on these customed headers alone? I'm getting a set of headers for my porsche from them as well. Would you guys ceramic coat it?

    Hi Jon
small weight savings and apparently a few more hp. The ceramic coating is optional for decreased heat...........not sure if it would be necessary on a 911/993 etc etc

J---Can you get the specifics from him about the ceramic coatings? Colors? Do I need shields if I use the coating? Any testing of temp differences with coating or without? May look into a wrap like X did?

There's 2 reasons to coat / wrap headers - to improve performance by keeping the exhaust gas hot (and therefore keeping velocity high), and to minimize any heat damage to surrounding parts. On our 355 I doubt the performance change between coated / non-coated will be much (bigger deal on my STi where I have to keep a turbo spinning - I had those headers coated). Only concern is heat damage to surrounding parts. That can be mitigated with heat shields for the alternator, etc. Wraps are the best to keep heat in, I just don't care for the look...I want to show these things off!

Hey Jetfixr - have you measured header temps with an IR gun?

Over the next few days--Anyone who has a IR gun--measure there header temps--we will then have an average temp across the board from various cars and an idea of what kind of wrap/coatings we need..I'll do mine tomorrow morning and post the temps.. Not sure how accurate my gun is--I guess I'll find out...
