Had to share this with you guys.

Background: I was with this girl for 4.5 years. Lived together for 1.5 years. She always made me feel as if I wasn't quite good enough for her. I eventually left her.

Yesterday I was heading out of town, top down, in my red F355 Spider, when I see a very attractive girl on a bicycle ahead of me. As I pass, I realize it's my ex, whom I haven't seen in 2.5 years. I coast to a stop and wait for her to catch up, and then as she pulled up along side the car, I said hello.

    The entire conversation consisted of:
    Me: "Hi Jxxxxx"
Her: "Hi Paul. So, you drive a Ferrari now?"
    Me: "Yes I do"
Her: "What about the Porsche?" (when we were together I drove a faded 1989 RX-7 )
Me (pointing back towards my place): "Still have it. It's at home in the garage"
Her: "Good for you. Nice to see you." (uncomfortable and ready for the conversation to end)
Me (with a smile and a wave): Happy 4th of July! (and I motored away calmly)

I love that the last memory she will have of me, for a good long time, is me motoring away in the F355. We didn't end on bad terms, but I'm still a little bitter that she got to keep our amazing apartment.

Anyone else have good bump-into stories?

You may not believe what you are about to read, but believe me, every word is true.
It was 1979, and I was in 6th grade attending Neva King Cooper school in Homestead, Florida.
I had my first girlfriend named Chris. She kind of looked like Joe from "The facts of life" (Nancy Mckeon).
She broke up with me because I could not roller skate backwards during the 'couples skate' songs at the local roller rink.

Fast forward to 1981 and I had a sweet Yamaha DT100 enduro motorcycle. I saw Chris walking along a dirt road (SW 202 Ave in the redlands area). I stopped and said "hi". She gave me the cold shoulder, so I dusted her with a nice spray of dirt and gravel as I whipped a quick donut before speeding off into the freshly plowed field.

That was the last time I saw her, and I say good riddance to bad baggage!

    Good times!
    :)

Good for you! I love it when it ends that way. Too bad you don't have a challenge exhaust on....her last memory of seeing you would be watching you drive away in your 355, while her eardrums were getting blasted.

My bitter-a$$ ex-wife was seen at my house taking pictures of my Jag and a customers 47' Fountain powerboat (three 900 hp engines, a $930k boat new), trying to take me back to court for more child support. Her lawyer must have told her to grow up, because nothing ever came out of it. But I thought it was funny that she was trying to say the boat was mine!
She just stopped by the shop the other day to pick my youngest daughter up- she got an eye full when she came snooping around in the back and saw a shop full of Ferrari's, a new Bentley and another 42" Fountain.

Years ago I was in a relationship with a nice girl, good looking, funny, the whole deal. She was very intense and wanted children within a year, we I was not ready for kids so in the finish I ended it. A few weeks later I brought a 911 and a house, these were all in the plans but she had no idea of said plans, later I find out she had been telling our friends that I was broken and she earned more money than me, probably due to the fact I was saving for the house deposit and the 911 while she was out buying new clothes etc. I always smile when I think of her face the first time she saw me in the 911, in a word, shock.

We still keep in touch, she is married with 2 children. Her first question is always, hows the Ferrari. I always reply "not as special as children". Were both very happy with how it worked out.

Great read guys :)!!! ........... the funniest one I could remeber did not invlove my 355 ........... but it goes like this ......... I was going out with this cute redhead and after about two years, it ended (I don't remember how, but I think I was sad about it ...) ........ I was at the Long Beach Gran Prix ........ and some one was calling my name ............. I looked around and did not see anyone I recognized ......... so I kept walking, then that same voice shouted my name again .............. I looked around again and this time she was waving ............ I barely recognized her .......... I walked over to say hi and she said "wow, you are still thin!" ......... sadly I could not say the same for her .......... :(

Years ago when I was just a young buck and trying to find my way and get my life going, I was with a girl whose dad thought that I would never amount to anything. At the time, I had dropped out of college (giving up a tennis scholarship) and was trying to make it as a professional tennis player. He got his way and she broke up with me. I put my head down and within a year I was making a decent living on the tour and seeing the world as a 20 year old. I rewarded myself with a Porsche 928 (back in the day that was THE car).

I happened to be back in town for a tournament and it was around the 4th of July, so I took a cruse over to their house just to say hi. It was the family bbq for the 4th get together.

Here's the scene: The old girlfriend was 8 months pregnant with a serious white trash adventure guy, and her and her dad's faces were priceless when I pulled up. She could barely make eye contact with me, and her dad's jaw was on the pavement, as he loved Porsches, and if I remember correctly he had a 914. The boyfriend was too busy with his friend Mr. Budweiser to notice, but her mom ran up to me and gave me a big hug (much to the dismay of hubby), and told me that she was proud of me and wished that I was still around.

I told them it was nice to see everyone but I had to get going, I got in and rumbled away. Oh to have been a fly on the wall at that house! :D

1996 I was engaged (I know shock in itself) dated this girl for 4 yrs thought I should get married, she pressured me to sell my 911 at that time so I did  a month later depressed I bought a 944S, a month after that I broke it off.
Well to tell the truth I had to, I was on a trip and was caught with a blonde in my Porsche crashed up on a boulevard totaled by her. My fiancé cousin who was a fire fighter in this City was the first on the scene . What were the odds of that

I swear I need to write my memoirs soon I will make a fortune :D:D:D

I was at a car show a few years back with my 94 348 Spider, in walks my old gf whom I was totally in love with but she broke things off. She is with her sisters and all there children. I was away from the car talking to somebody but still close enough to keep an eye on her. They walk up to the car and read the enter card with my name on it. I see her face as I walk up to say hello, at the same time her sister telling her she F**d up, I had a big smile the rest of the day....

OK guys, great stories. This story involves a 355.

I have been fighting my ex-wife with every possible thing in court. She is after blood and specifically money. In a recent court battle for money, the ex-wife tries every which way to show the court all the money that I don't have - she even yells in a court of law, quote " JUDGE, WHY DON'T YOU ASK HIM WHAT CAR HE DROVE TO COURT TODAY, A FERRARI!!! (a beautiful 1999 Ferrari 355 spyder) - As the Judge ignores her outburst. Who yells this in a court room, I almost felt embarssed for her.

By the way, the EX scans this site for my posts as evidence in future court proceedings. Can't understand woman, she thought the grass was greeny on the outside by cheating with another man that ended up cheating on her with other woman. What a stupid f**k *****, and she wants money from me - you have got to be kidding.

Sounds like a bitter woman to me!

The only experience I've had was when I first got my CBR.

I forgot exactly what happened but, I drowned her in a nice big white cloud of tire smoke :D

Sorry for my lack of details :)

Ha! Jay, that reminds me of the scene in Top Gun where he's revving his motorcycle, and saying he can't hear her talking at the same time. Classic.

As i think about it, I remember a good bit of it.

We had just split up because I wasn't "financially stable".

Mind you, I JUST turned 16 about, two days earlier. How I couldn't afford to go anywhere or buy anything and how she was always paying for things. (typical Palm Beach chick :D)

Well, I was at Publix about 2 weeks after I got my motorcycle license and my new CBR600RR.

And as I was riding out of the parking lot, I saw her. Of course, being the smart a$$ teenager that I am, I stopped and said hello sarcastically. She made a pretty harsh comment, one I refuse to say on a public forum. So, i said $@%* this" got a good burnout going, drowned her in smoke and rode off. While flipping her the bird. :D:D:D

mine is like the rest; went with a girl for 3 yrs and we talked of a lifelong commitment, she broke it off suddenly and 4 months later married a guy who turned into a abuser loser... at the time we were together i drove an E-type and she always said i loved my car more than her (I probaby did) thru the years I saw her family members
here and there and they always commented on how well it appeared I was doing Caddliacs, Mercedes ect. and how she had such bad luck with mr Big, he is now over 350lb, skip forward 35 yrs I am in my 355 at the gas mart and I look over to see a big boy putting gas into a Z4, he comes over says how beautiful my car is, I lean over to the driver side of the Z4 and say hi to my ex and then comment back to big boy yeah and you have a beautiful wife, he had no idea who I was...but she sure did. hope she had some explaining to do.
