So I’ve sold an organ or two, scrounged around behind the couch, loitered around the most lucrative public toilets, spent some time “working” for Ian and Greg, and last night was finally able to confirm my 75 minute Spitfire flight from Goodwood aerodrome in July.

During the flight I will soar over the cliffs of Dover and see the French coast.
I guess this is about as close as it’s possible to get to experiencing what it was like in 1940.
Without the getting shot at bit, hopefully…

Also going to have Chloe and her father in a “chase plane” formate on us for ten minutes or so while I’m up so they can take pics and video.

    :)

No, en route to Sydney, delivering a host of Mondial, air cooled Porsche parts and cash, for Greg.

I thought it might be a -400 freighter which didn’t have the extended upper deck?

Probably wrong. Either way a lovely lady to see.

It doesn't matter if a pilot has done a million hours in a all types of Aeroplanes.
It is the time, albeit small, spent at the controls of a Spitfire that he cherishes and recalls most often.
You will never regret the decision, you should be able to get Go-Pro footage as well of your ugly dial in the back seat.
And you will amazed at just how light and responsive the controls are. How quick the speed builds in the dive.

I think he has staff to check the oil and then take the cane out of the cupboard and give the tyres a damned good thrashing
