What Ferrari stated is correct, carbon kevlar structural panels bonded to the tubular chassis do provide structural integrity in the F40.

Its the outer body panels where the carbon kevlar is mainly for effect, and only really holds those panels together in the event of damage rather then it flying everywhere.

30 years later and Gordon Murray is incorporating the same structural panel/tubular chassis process into the proposed new TVR project

They obviously do spectacular work, and your car demands no less!

I can see so many differences from the regular F40, its almost like an entirely different car!

To my mind, the F40 LM is the ultimate F40 and your example is the ultimate LM! What a car and with an excellent owner.

    Bravo Tim!

They obviously do top notch work! Your car looks like it literally just rolled out of the factory. What an incredible car and the condition is beyond reproach! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I like the tight pic (post #3759) above of the steering wheel and shifter. Hard to improve on perfection but Topaz did just that...

Agree. Now drive the poor thing please!

Do a road trip through France or something and put some serious miles on her. Life is too short to just look at her :)
