High quality watch straps

I like https://www.combat-straps.com they are custom made to your size. I have a problem where I’m allergic to the chromium used in the dye in most watch bands. They use a dye that is hypoallergenic.

Very nice - I like that they have shagreen. The only price I see is extra padding for $15. Out of curiosity, is the cost structure published? If not, did it seem reasonable when you ordered?

I don't know the current pricing, the last watch I needed a strap for was my JLC Triple Calendar just before Covid. My last few watch purchases have been on metal bands.

This is a CombatStrap/AaronBespoke alligator in blue to match the moon-phase complication, which really changes the watch. Sometimes you don't need to go Shark or Stingray but just go with a different color that compliments the watch over traditional black or tan.

Looks like nice work and the color match is a pretty nice idea. Was the cost on par with an OE replacement?

The stingray leather reference ties back to the English Fusee tread. Rich is recreating the lost outer cover of a 1750s watch in shagreen and the idea of idea of a shagreen watchband was discussed.

I did the different color thing but it was 'off the shelf' - I had a WWII wehrmacht Glycine wristwatch that I put a pink alligator band on. The contrast with the old black dial scruffy watch was pretty cool and went over well. I don't remember where I got it though.

Not saying it isn't worth it, but wow, that's a steep starting price. I guess if you are wearing a $10+k watch, it makes sense. I wonder how long it would hold up in daily use.

This might be a good solution if you want leather on something vintage with fixed lugs. I have resisted the glue shut versions available commercially because I don't trust the glue and grosgrain just looks meh. I may reach out to see if sending the watch up and having it sewn on (a ladies 18k & enamel inlay V&C).

The quality is as good as or better than most OEM straps, hold-ups well as a daily. CF makes straps for Patek, JLC and IWC, pricey for sure but quality is top notch. Is it worth $150 over your average strap, up to the individual.
