I continue to finalize my Portofino order and have decided on Grigio Silverstone exterior and (I think) Rosso Ferrari interior. Since this will be my daily driver I am a bit worried about how red will do with stains, such as jeans. Has anyone with they Rosso leather had any problems or does it hold up well with wear...

    Thanks

Just my 2 cents, red is a hard color to sell later on.... It is very bright. Why not do Black with red accents?

It’s definitely a debate but I do think you are right. On the one hand I like the way the red pops, on the other hand since this will be my daily I also feel the red might get to me. I do like the black with the red accents (stitching, horse, calipers, seatbelts...).

The test drive car here @ Boardwalk Ferrari had bordeaux interior with Grigio Silverstone exterior. I thought it was sharp looking. To my eyes, bordeaux is not as intense as Rosso (full disclosure, have only seen RF in pics not real) and it was used as an accent color, not one whole solid color. Maybe that's the way to go?

I once went to view a Cali with a red interior. The car had not been looked after and the seats were very marked by everyday use.

I did not buy the car, but saw it later at my local dealer after they had cleaned it. Although they had greatly improved the cleanliness of the interior you could still see the marks on the seats.

I had creme seats in my everyday used Cali and although they looked great they marked very easily too. I regularly cleaned them and they did retain their colour with only a few marks.

Personally, if I was using as an everyday driver I would go with a dark colour. I’ve ordered black for my Porto.

Yes, starting to lean that way. Now I am rethinking outside color as well since I wanted a bigger contrast from the Grigio silverstone. I may go Blue TDF, Nero interior, Yellow stitch, horse, calipers. I agree to go with dark color, makes sense as this will be the DD. My other car is this color and I do love it. Thanks much for the thought on this.

I have Rossa with Black dash on our CaliT. Did deviating stitching (red stitch on place parts, black stitch on red parts). 3 1/2 years later still looks great and really pops.

Not sure how they do it on a Portofino.
However, on a 488 when you order Rosso interior the seats, lower dash, center console and middle section of doors is red. The rest is all black so it is not overwhelming and looks quite spectacular. In addition the red leather holds up beautifully.
If you like it you should not hesitate to get it.

Get it how you like it. These modern leathers are treated and you can (usually) clean them fairly well. Just wash your jeans a bunch when they are new and you can avoid a substantial amount of leather dye transfer.

People will have strong opinions once you veer away from the usual color choices. Don't let that stop you from having it as you want it. Just keep in mind you'll be dealing with those opinions when you go to sell.

Have Rosso Leather, Carbon Fiber Race interior, some placed rossa alcathera alternating with rossa leather, white leather stripe center ea. chair, white stitched horse headrests, white stitching throughout, black carpets. Center C. Carbon fiber/sides red leather. Exterior is Blanco. First of 6 F cars with Rosso interior, I think it pops, have never heard a neg. comment. (458 2015 Italia), Prior F cars were Black x2, dark blue, off white x2. Black is easiest to care. This time I wanted something totally different & wife who is an artist likes color!

I have a 2015 California T with the same exterior and interior color. Seemed like during the first year the seats picked up surface stains from jeans. Very easy to clean with a leather cleaner. Now that it is three years old it does not easily stain although the leather is showing some wear. Daily driver 20k miles.
