So, shortly before Mr Ferrari passed away. Not to drift too much away from the initial topic, but what are those unique features?
llooks like you had a fantastic time jim glad your home safe and well..the baby looks so good filthy dirty
Driving 0846 through the same ones that Nino and Lorenzo did as the Nuns watch over the raggatsi is not something I'll ever forget. The crowd parted slightly and we were off. The sun poured down and the rain blew over the cockpit and the dirt we collected and the hot oil looked and smelled like the old days... Veronica and I switched back and forth between 002C and 0846. It's hard to say which exhaust note bouncing off the stone wall sounded better... fantastic, nice to see a P4 being occupied by recognisable people, not camouflaged under large helmets...
great pics jim !!! its really a shame, i could not be there , but my memories of 2005 are still alive !
Jim, thank you for the great gift you are doing to Sicily and the Sicilians . Revamping the car for the Targa Florio and racing there is like giving life to a dream for most of them. Attached clip dedicated to whom was never been there ( hope it works ). http://www.targa-florio.net/1965%20Targa%20Florio.wmv. Cal
you know, i'm jealous of you guys! BUT, i do not envy you. as far as i know you've been great guys willing to share this experience with 'mere mortals' like me! keep living life to the fullest
Wow and wow some more! Looks like a truly awesome event and the pictures they are superb, I can begin to imagine what it must feel like to drive the P4 around the Targa Florio route. The sound of the v12 must be truly shattering. Thanks again for sharing.
I love the b/w photo of then P3/4 There is something about b/w photography that really appeals to me...
Here are some of the interesting cars that were present. Starting with Jim's family cars, I must say it was a great pleasure again to meet the Glickenhauses. Nice family it is. The 0846 conversion impressed me. The body lining in spider version has become superb, the car just looks and sounds perfect. Thanks Jim. One can see in some pics where Vaccarella came to visit 0846 at the citysquare where the start would be. Of course 002C was shining brightly after been repainted. The first pic shows the special gauge that has been brought into the dash.
