Hi all, Thought i'd post some images of my new 20" wheels ... some will love them & the purists will hate them ! In my opinion they look stunning, the images don't really do them justice. Yep - 100bhp shot for about a year now & 25 refills, no problems yet ... i'm just going to touch some wood now !
they look good, should of put same wheels on but not chromed, thats just my preference but your car looks great do you get much hastle negotiating speed bumps with the front splitter on? how much to nos your car and is it an easy job to do???????????
Speed bumps are no problem ... i just take them cautiously & it goes over fine. NOS - I sell nitrous kits, so my cost was a bit down on retail, but i'd guess i've spent about £1200 all in - That includes extra parts outside the kit i based it on inc. copper nitrous pipe (due to the heat of the engine plastic or braided pipes burst), digital progressive controller, polished alluminium bottle, nitrous gauge, heat reflective tube to cover the fuel and nitrous lines in the engine bay etc .. The nitrous was well worth it - It totally transformed the car, when it kicks in it still takes my breath away ;-)
Hi Dave. Not a great fan of chrome rims, but they suit the car well and if I had to have chrome rims, I wouldn't say no to yours. Personally, I think your car shown in your profile with the other wheels looks superb! The splitter looks good as well. Cheers. Pete
The old 19" ones with the black centres became pitted around the silver rim - Basically the layer of laquer was so thin that each an every little stone chip coupled with the UK weather started off the whole corrosion process. I'm intending to have those restored in a couple of weeks and pop them on during winter to save the chrome ones from going the same way. The originals were from Highline Wheels - have a look on Ebay where you'll see them up for sale. Only thing i'd advise if you get some is to spray another coat of laquer on the rim right from the beginning.
Agreed. Probably not a bad idea either with an extra 100 hp available. With the NOS on, is there a lot of difference in the how the car sounds?
The x6 355's at the Silverstone race school have been pimp'd too, nice MR2's lol Each to there own, its a free country (for the moment at least) What suspension you running / whats the ride like with 20" rubber bands?
