Is it only me, or does it seem that every time you turn on a radio, or TV, you see Tom Cruise. That would be okay if he was there to promote his movies. However, he is so heavily promoting Scientology, and he has this superiority complex where he feel that if you are not living your life by ways that he approves of, then we are meaningless.

You know what Tom? I like you as an actor. Politics and religion are private matters. If I want to know about Scientology, I will seek out information myself, or ask for it. I don't need to hear your unsolicited advertisements for what you believe in. Stay on this path, and I will never pay to see one of your movies ever again.

I think the media likes a train wreck so they egg him on. If they asked questions about the movie I'm sure he'd talk about it. But, they like to get in his face about it and it, apparently, is something he is passionate about.

Scientology is a very powerful organization and use certain celebs to promote them in exchange for supposedly enhancing their lives. Scientology is crafting their message through people like Cruise and John Travolta. My guess is a guy like Cruise is brain washed. I've read that they hold his sexual orientation as a form of black mail so that he stays a happy "culty" Scientologist. OTOH maybe he is just a happy Scientologist and just wants to tell the world :)

yeah, seems like Tom talks more about his religion that his movies, and he has been quite entertaining in some of the interviews i've seem him on recently. he does seem a bit brainwashed and full of himself at times. up until a few months ago, i didnt think he was that strange of a guy.

hey don't bash Tom, he is an Operating Theton Level III so he is almost "Clear". Nothnig like clearing your body of those billions of parasitic alien souls that were blown up at the base of volcanoes 75 million years ago by Xenu the leader of the Galactic Federation.

And I thought it was just me...this guy's gone off the deep end. He has forgotten his place...he's an actor, there but to merely entertain the masses. He's not a doctor(nope, can't save anyone's life), not a lawyer(nope, can't help anyone there), not an electrician(nope, can't safely wire a house),not a politician (nope, hasn't even been elected to anything)..he's an actor(yup, he can mug it up on screen for my amusement). I've always liked him as an actor, but he can take the rest of his BS preaching and shove it up his ****** alongside that f-ing gerbil. He's got no credentials, no credibility. He's not alone, these hollywood morons should stay in fantasyland where they belong and leave the real-world issues to real people.

Recent interviews with him are embarrassing to watch..train wreck is right!

He got wierd suddenly because he fired his competent publicist who obviously kept all of this craziness hidden. He then hired his sister, who is also a Scientologist. Now, he's revealing his true self, and it could be career suicide.

I don't know his medical history, but from his comments against psychiatry and how we drug our children with Ritalin and watching his behavior I think he is ADHD or slightly bipolor or at least manic. I've got a few relatives that act like him when they are off their lithium. THey say they feel "free" when they are off the drugs, but they talk nonsense and spaz out.

Tom's career is definitely going down hill now. Katie Holmes career won't exist anymore if they both keep acting strangely. Like others said when he fired his publicist it has allowed the world to see the "real" Tom Cruise. He is coming off as being smug and irrational and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I was hoping they(movie studio) would cancel Mission Impossible 3. I thought that could slap some sense into him and get him to stop claiming he is an expert since he has done "research".

Damn Jim, I thought you were making this stuff up, but:

OT III, also called "The Wall of Fire". Deals with Incident 2, Xenu, the evil galactic overlord, and the H bombs on Hawaii 76 million years ago. Hubbard said that anyone who was exposed to this level casually would "freewheel" through it, become a chronic insomniac, then get sick and die. "Locating and auditing of body thetans on Incident I (first incident in MEST universe) and Incident II (incident which caused the degradation of these beings into body thetans and clusters as caused by Xenu approximately seventy-five million years ago). Emphasis on this level is ridding the pre-OT of body thetans which are conscious enough to respond to the auditing. Available at Advanced Organizations and higher. Partially replaced by New OT V." - Jonathon Barbera.

I'm SO glad Nicole Kidman is done with him. But I'm sad for his kids.

Actually, alot of their beliefs are no more ludicrous than other, "established" religions. I have worked with a number of their organizations over the years, dealing largely with Hubbard's copyrights, and the unauthorized posting of content on the Internet, and we made alot of important law. Say what you will about these folks, they are focused, and are very upbeat. After seeing what has been done in the name of other "mainstream" religions i think these guys, on balance, do more good than harm. It's easy to write them off as crackpots, but interestingly, their harshest critics seem to acknowledge that alot of their mental training is very effective. As to being a "cult," well, as i've said before on this site, take a look at virtually any successful, large, powerful corporation. It's run on fear, conformity, and paying lip service to alot of nonsense. Yet, there are those that worship constantly at the altar of big business and call it capitalism. Pick your poison.

I used to live 1 1/2 blocks away from The Celebrity Centre. Went in the lobby oh, a dozen times, I suppose. Only 1 person was ever smiling as if they'd found the secret to happiness. That was a supervisor of some sort who'd just collected some checks.

If Scientology is so great for one's personal lifestyle guidance, how come Tommy Boy already has 2 past marriages in the garbage can and another one coming down the road? Anybody can achieve those kind of odds by flipping a coin.

There's a "Celebrity Center" here in Dallas, not far from my home. During a Ferrari ride a few weeks ago I drove by there. The place is entering a state of major disrepair, at least from the exterior.

I totally agree with Whart's opin. Every religion is based on "faith" and heresay as none of us were there to witness anything. What is just funny is how adamantly people defend it even if it involves volcanoes and evil galactic warlords. I will give Tom's bunch a thumbs up as the basic view I get is positive thinking and to rid yourself of negative energy. call them engrams, thetons or 10 hail marys...doesn't matter. That has been my whole view on religion..I don't care what you believe really if it makes you do the right thing and be a better person.
