Well, I agree. If I had a Scuderia, I would do the same. Problem is a Scuderia is still roughly $100,000.- more than a Stradale. Someone wake me when I can make an even trade for my Stradale for a Scuderia :)

This color scheme is probably worth $25k in and of itself. Perhaps the hottest color combo ever made. sounds nuts until you see one in the flesh.........$170 or so in this market if it had low miles is a car that will hold its value. I don't own one and I am not selling one, IMHO>

If I could find one, I would buy it. They don't seem to be for sale hardly ever.

I hear you Andrew. :D No issues here. I really appreciate all of the info you maintain on the CS market. It has saved many buyers from making the wrong decision, and soon, I hope to call on you for your help.

Before all of that happened they were asking $169k when the Stradale first appeared. Didn't know about the 'mod' history. You really have your finger on the pulse of every Stradale...
Maybe we should call you Dr Stradale!

For the record, that's the ONLY North American spec CS I know in that color combo - nero (not nero daytona) over cuoio leather w/ black stitch, oem stripe and red calipers. The only other CS close is rcallahan's nero over tan, oem stripe and red calipers. So while the nero over cuoio is not a true "one-off" like the pino verde, rosso dino, bianco avus, canna de fucile, rosso fiorano, blu bugatti (i.e., mexico blue), grigio alloy, giallo ginevra, blu le mans or blu mediterraneo Strads, it's still damn rare in it's own right. I would pay a premium for that macho beast but not $170k.

I certainly hope that's the case as this is what the Fchat community is all about. Holler anytime when you're ready for your CS. :)

I've been called CS Guru and CS Master but, "Dr. Stradale"? That's a good one. I like it; consider it done. :) Maybe I'll have Rob change my handle, too. LOL!

Yes, I recall the pricing frenzy by LFSC on the giallo Strad. It went from $169k to $179k to $185k. While at $185k the GM told me they'd let it go for $160k. I am starting to see a fair amount of interest in that car all of a sudden. If LFSC drops the price again I think she's gone! Here were the mods for those keeping track. :)

Unfortunately my friend was the one who recently bought 136348 from Ferrari of Scottsdale. He didn't know that it had any "stories" until reading this thread. They agreed to buy the car back & that's why they have it again. I drove the car on 1/23/10 and it really is in good condition with no signs of any paintwork of repairs. Our best body shop in town could tell that the passenger side door had been removed at some time but they couldn't figure out why. They said that if there was any paintwork done, they couldn't tell.

Scottsdale DOES know it's been in an accident. I'm sure they have the same invoice that stokpro provided.

I have been looking quietly at one of their cars but I wont any longer....dealer is dead to me with that type of terrible and unacceptable sales practice. I hope they get shut down.
Did your friend file with Better Biz dept and state attorney yet? I sure hope he does.

The current web site listing for 136348 at Scottsdale Ferrari notes: "It has come to our attention that this 360 Stradale has had the rear Bumper Cover and Passenger rear Quarter Panel replaced. This work was done at an authorized Ferrari Dealer and all parts were OEM Factory parts this car looks exquisite inside and out. The Carfax and Autocheck are both clean however we do want to disclose this information."

How does the passenger rear quarter panel get replaced when it is one piece that extends from the rear bumper forward to the door and onto the roof? Perhaps they meant repaired and not replaced?? I'm sure original factory parts were used and that FoBH did a nice job in restoring this CS, but I'm afraid there was a bit more work done to restore 136348. Greater concern revolves around suspension damage/alignment from a bent shock mount and bolt. Not that this tidbit makes a difference, but curious why the 2nd owner swapped out the driver's seat in his black CS for the one in 136348??

Based on the many many 360 Challenge wrecks I've seen (including my own), here are a few things I've picked up. One is that Aluminum cannot be repaired. It is replaced. It could also be that the rear panel was replaced was smaller than the piece that we see as new.

first thing about aluminum, you just cannot reshape it. Take a soda can, bend it once and spent the rest of your life trying to get it back into it's original shape. Plus of course it weakens too. Well, maybe people who own vintage aluminum cars reshape it because of cost (not sure)...but as far as 360 Challenge cars went, everything was replaced, never repaired.

As for the panels, I saw challenge cars have the bent up areas cut out and new panels welded in. As far as I saw, the repair shops used joint areas to meet panels and if the factory panel was larger and included several pieces welded together, they would use just the smaller panel. This of course means exactly zero concerning the 360 CS in question and only BHF can answer that. Good news is that they have run Challenge cars and should be in a great position to do a really good job.

LFSC sold that low mileage giallo (yelow) CS to AutoGallery in California. Now being offered at $151,320 from $158k. I think this one is going to sell rather fast at that price.
