Marnix, take a look at the openings for the headlights, smaller than 308 due to lack of louvres. No NACA-ducts implies these must be 328. The only thing that interests me, is the fact that there seem to be little pics of 328-production, I figured perhaps mr. Massini had pictured some of the early specimen. Agreed, I forgot about the 208 turbo intercooler, but still, those clips are not 208.
I love the all-silver Boxer in one of the pictures. That ought to get some of those guys who insist that "all boxers had this" or that worked up! This thread really should be in the Classic section, however. Again, fantastic pics! Thanks for sharing!
I keep forgetting the 328 doesn't have the louvres above the headlights. I've made that mistake before.
this thread gave me goose bumps..great great pictures!!!! Thanks so much for posting them. I like how the factory appears to be a bit on the cluttered and messy side of things, gives a bit more of a feeling of human involvment in the cars. Very interesting.
Amazing. As someone said earlier, you ought to get these published. I was surprised to see so many non-red 308's and Mondials, actually.
one of the great things about this thread is: It made OLD GUY surfaced again !!! anyway where does Marcel Massini and Old Guy reside? P.S. Black VW GTI ruled in the 80's.
Marcel, You have my nomination for the best F-Chat photo post ever!!! Thank you for posting. I even see a black BBI on the line. Could it be mine? Thanks a million for sharing. Dave
Me, too. Largely because I can't believe that the early-1980's were almost 25 years ago! Thank you, Marcel!
Marcel, could you please give us the exact dates that these visits took place. Again, these photos are magnificent. George
My 308 was built in 1980, so its possible some of those parts, I am driving with today ! Awesome fotos ! thank you very much merci beaucoup, merveilleux molte grazie, meraviglios vielen Dank
No PINNIN512, that red Boxer with the hood up had to be mine! Seeing the photo of the silver Boxer should settle the argument that there were no solid color vehicles company from the factory.
Thank you Marcel. Wonderful pictures, tell a good story & very precious. I wonder if any of those ended up in our shores....
Marcel Great photos, thanks for posting them. My silver 400i was built in March of 1983 I think so I peered closely at your photos imagining the possibility that one of the few 400is there could have been mine! John
